Musikhuset in Aarhus hosts the Kazoo Music Festival every January, a colorful festival dedicated to children’s music and theater. Kazoo transforms the Concert Hall into a musical playground where children aged 4–12 can explore music in all its peculiar and surprising forms.
The festival features a wide range of events, including ballet and dance performances, classical music concerts, opportunities to try various instruments, and other creative activities.
The task was to create a visual identity for this festival, including the design of a flyer, a poster, and an animation for social media.
During this project, I explored a variety of ideas but struggled to truly get started on any of them. One night, while laying in bed staring at my dark ceiling and my thoughts drifted to the universe…
…The universe is infinite, and from this, I drew parallels to creativity and music. Music, much like the cosmos, can evoke a sense of weightlessness when listening to the right piece, surrounding you with sound and inspiring a feeling of endless possibilities and dreams. My concept revolves around the sensation of wanting to explore something infinite.
